Yesterday was sooooo much fun.
Our friend Elida has a daughter our age, who came to pick us up today and show us places, we went to the zoo.
It was as big as our backgarden at home (the gwillies backgarden) and had loads of cages in it. We started with the chickens, then the geese, then the swans, then the tigers. Literally. It was flippin mental! There was just one mental cagey thing keeping the tiger in! I’m pretty sure it could have eaten me in one bite. Natasha, Elida’s daughter said when it was little they used to play with the tiger, but now it’s too big so only the man who feeds it gets a tiger hug. Gutted. So after the tiger there was a bear having a wee, a few more swans, two lamas, and emu, some baby goats, some BIG goats, some crazy scary birds that looked like the vultures off jungle book and then some puppies. Then lots of wolves who seemed to have just all had a big fight. One had half it’s nose hanging off it’s face. Made me feel sick. Another had blood all over it’s back. Made me feel even more sick. One just had a limp. Didn’t make me feel much more sick, he was probably the alpha wolf. Winner. Walking back up to the house we found a parrot, assuming it could talk Imo started talking to it. It couldn’t talk and Imo just ended up looking pretty stupid.
So, the next stop was the sports centre by the river. We explored and Natasha and her friend discussed how to say “big bike” in English. Eventually we worked out they were talking about the massive motorbike festival thingy that happens in the middle of May down at the beach, Poloj. Pretty excited.
Then we went back to Elida’s for some kind of massive cake thats named after a german mountain, I can’t say it let alone spell it!
So after a coffee, some juice and too much cake they decided we were going to the lake, about 10 kilometers away. I was like YEAHHHH. Untill i realised there was only 5 seats in the car and there was 6 of us. Me always being the smallest in any situation, got to sit on Imo’s lap the whole way there and ducked every time anyone saw police.
They told us that in the summer we would come here with them and go swimming. On cue, a snake swam by us. Having second thoughts about swimming.
So that’s the end of our crazy day yesterday! Off to Charlie and Barb’s for lunch after church!
